Coasts to the Outback 'Hill'

The Sydney region coastline combined with an iconic outback experience showcases the diversity of what a motorcycle adventure in Australia is all about.

Let's go! From Sydney we’ll ride down the south coast past so many beautiful beaches you’ll never be able to remember them all. Later in the day, on arguably the best roads anywhere, we’ll end up in Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands. Our second day is a perilous and dramatic ride – The Blue Mountains with its spectacular views and a Jenolan Caves night tour end our second day. Fear not though, our local knowledge and expertise will make this a great day for all.

From Jenolan we head west on an epic two-day ride to Broken Hill. A few long days in the saddle will soon get into ‘the spirit of the outback’ as we see the land get flatter the further west we go. Broken Hill is a real treat with so much to see and do. Mad Max and Pricilla Queen of the Desert were both filmed out here. There’s the Royal Flying Doctors and School of the Air to visit as well as Silverton, Mundi Mundi Plains, the Sculpture Park at sunset and the Living Desert. There’s also mining exhibits, Aboriginal artworks as well as many iconic pubs with interesting locals you'll get the opportunity to have a ‘yarn’ with.

On our way back to the coast we’ll pass through many interesting little towns, travel on roads built for motorcycle riding and taste some Hunter Valley wines as good as you’ll get anywhere in the world. Once back on the coast at Nelson Bay we’ll see even more spectacular Aussie beaches as we ride through to Newcastle City and on to Terrigal for our last night together.

On our last day we’ll visit the Australian Reptile Park to see deadly spiders and snakes as well as kangaroos, koalas, wombats, parrots and much more unique Australian wildlife. Our last afternoon will be spent riding along Sydney’s Northern Beaches and crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, before returning our steel horses and having a farewell dinner with new found friends, followed by a well-earned rest.
